Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the game's release, to players forming strong opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their side to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Many past official descriptions note their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this total queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wish to listen. Much like an captivating, sociable Gemini, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which seems very similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often becoming wrapped up in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. It is also recognized for its capability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Well, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became consciousness through sheer hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
